The Warehouse has become the latest corporate to offer help for homeless people at Te Puea Marae in Mangere Bridge.

The company has set up a page on its website so that customers buying online can donate items to the marae, which has taken in homeless people for the winter.

The Warehouse will also match customers' donations one for one.

Chief executive Simon Turner said the items to be donated had been specifically requested by the marae.

"Customers wishing to donate can simply head to the following link on The Warehouse website, choose from a selection of products, and follow the instructions to complete the donation," he said.

"Provided the marae's delivery address is entered, the items will be delivered at no cost."

He said the marae was"doing a great deal to support Kiwi families who are struggling".

"We know that it can be difficult for our customers who want to donate, but aren't sure what items are needed most. By heading to our online store via this link,we're supporting our customers to give products that are exactly what are needed, and what's more, we will match each item donated, to double what the Marae receives."
