The real reason why Kanye wore Dickies to the Met Gala has been revealed!

Kanye West has been praised for his outfit at the 2019 Met Gala, after it was revealed by Vogue that he wanted his wife, Kim Kardashian, to be the star of the show. 

Kanye appeared at the Met Gala wearing a simple outfit, with a black Dickies zip-up jacket which cost less than $50.

Kim on the other hand wore a stunning dress by Thierry Mugler who she believes started the theme of the 2019 Met Gala. “He is the king of camp, he invented camp,” said Kardashian at a recent fitting for her dress.

According to Kim, Kanye reportedly said that this was her time to shine. "My first Met year I was just his plus-one. I wasn’t really invited yet. This year [Kanye said], ‘I'm just your plus-one. You’re the cover girl and I’m your plus-one, so I’ll just kind of fade out in the background and be your date and let you shine,", Vogue reports.
