Melbourne Police engaged in a 7 hour standoff with an empty house

The Aussies are well and truly on form over the last couple weeks. First they demolished the wrong house and now this straight out of Melbourne. Law enforcement was called to a house believed to be holding a person of interest.

Negotiators were then called to communicate with the patrons in the house, there's only one problem with the situation, THERE WAS NO ONE THERE THE ENTIRE TIME!

The silver lining for the police was that they found a supposedly stolen vehicle and motorbike, but I wouldn't be too sure if it was stolen, let alone a car or bike?
