Uber has announced that they will be launching in six new cities in October this year.
The ride-sharing company will launch in Rotorua, Taupo, Napier-Hastings, New Plymouth, Palmerston North & Nelson - bringing the total number of cities in Aotearoa from 7 to 13.
Uber New Zealand Country Manager Amanda Gilmore says: " Uber is nearly doubling our city portfolio overnight. It’s a bold, but well researched move designed to create more transport choice while deepening the earning opportunities for New Zealanders on both the North and South islands.".
Uber is already currently live in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown & Dunedin.
