McDonald's delivery is finally here in New Zealand!

McDonald's has teamed up with UberEats for delivery.

From today UberEats users will be able to order popular food items from McDonald's Greenlane to be delivered by the ride-sharing service.

The service will be restricted to a 10-minute delivery zone to ensure food is still hot when it arrives to customers.

McDonald's managing director Dave Howse said the move was the result of a changing market.

"To remain relevant to our customers, we have to change and adapt with their preferences faster than ever before," Howse said.

"In the last two years we've introduced McCafe at Drive-Thru and All Day Breakfast, evolved Create Your Taste to Gourmet Creations, moved to free range eggs, and started table service."

Howse said these changes and additions were the result of customer feedback.

"The introduction of our delivery trial last year proved to be very popular, and we've had many requests to expand the service," he said. "By partnering with UberEATS we're able to extend the availability of McDelivery, providing our customers with the food they love and new levels of convenience."

UberEats New Zealand general manager Simon Rossi said the delivery service had proved to be very popular since its Auckland launch in March.

"Today we're thrilled to be bringing even more choice to Aucklanders, with everyone's Macca's favourites now available for delivery at Uber speed."

McDonald's Uber deliveries are available between 8am to 11am from Sunday through to Thursday and 8am to 1am on Friday and Saturday.

More Auckland locations for the McDelivery partnership will be announced in coming weeks.

McDonald's has more than 165 restaurants across New Zealand.
