Get your sombreros ready! TACO BELL IS COMING TO NZ.

There's been rumours circling for a while that the chain would be making it to New Zealand, after Kiwi fast-food giant Restaurant Brands took over Taco Bell and Pizza Hut in Hawaii.

It was then considered that it could be coming to NZ soil by Restaurant Brands chief executive Russell Creedy, after the success of the one Taco Bell in Australia last year.

Now, speaking with Radio New Zealand this morning, Creedy has confirmed it's not a matter of 'if', but when!

"It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when - and I think that's really related to the Taco Bell organisation signing off on being happy that all those support and supply chain issues ... the formula is right, so that when it does land in New Zealand it's successful.

"I can see it being in the not too distant future, a year or two, and I'm looking forward to it."

Radio New Zealand also reported it'd be on our shores by 2020.

YAHHHHHS!
