We get it, choosing a name, it can be difficult! Bae might like the name Kate but maybe you had some beef with a Kate in 3rd form, or you like Jack but that's not gonna fly either!

So you finally agree on a name because you heard it in some overseas trip that you and bae went on and it sounds so unique and exotic BUUUUUUT you can't say that name as cool as the internationals and now you've given your baby a name that sounds, well, like s***.

Welcome to the life of this Australian couple. So the story goes that Carri Kessler had a friend in the U.K who went by the name of Ottilie and she thought it was the most beautiful name she had ever heard and had wanted to use it for her child. She named her daughter as such and Carrie suddenly began to realise that her daughters name no longer sounded as cool with that horrible Australian accent!

Carrie and her partner had never said the name out loud and were actually struggling to say their own daughter's name:

"No one could remember it and no one could pronounce it... I was like 'if you say it with a British accent, it sounds really good!' And people said, 'But you're from Maryland"

So one thing lead to another aaaaaand that's how the name Ottilie turned into Margot!

Classic!
