Apple releases new iPhone 11 phones, iPad and Apple Watch

Apple has released the new iPhone 11 phones at a launch event in California. 

Apple has launched the iPhone 11 (from $1,349), and iPhone 11 Pro (from $1,949) and iPhone Pro Max (from $2,149).

Kiwis wanting to buy the new phones can place their orders from September 14. 

The new iPhones are similar to recent models, the iPhone X and XS, but with better cameras and more colours. 

Older models have also had their price dropped, with the iPhone 8 now selling for $869, and the iPhone XR from $1,149.

Apple also announced that they would release new models of the Apple Watch and iPad as well as announcing their new streaming service to take on the likes of Netflix, Neon and Disney+ - Apple TV+. 

The new model of iPhone features the fastest chip of any smartphone, and a powerful new battery that lasts an hour longer than the iPhone XR.
