TJ Perenara gets married in secret surprise ceremony

All Black TJ Perenara has tied the knot with longtime partner Greer Samuel in a surprise ceremony in Porirua earlier this month.

The pair revealed it to Woman's Day today, saying that they had invited family and friends to an 'engagement party', but then surprised them to a wedding, saying it was the "perfect day".

TJ and Greer got engaged in June last year after being together for around nine years.

It comes after TJ's teammate Beauden Barrett married his long-time partner Hannah Laity earlier this month.

According to the Woman's Day special, TJ and Greer met at a Halloween Party nine years ago, and had originally planned to get married in November 2019, but "couldn't bear to wait".

Greer posted a cute photo to her Instagram account on her husband's birthday, showing her appreciation for the All Black.

"I feel like I've been sent the best complimentary team mate in the universe" she said on the Instagram post.
