There is a hilarious mistake in this Splash Planet photo and everyone is confused!

Staff at Hastings Splash Planet amusement park yesterday morning spotted two spelling mistakes in the parking area.

The blunder has resulted in the sign-writing company responsible for it footing the bill. The error has now been fixed.

A Hastings District Council spokeswoman said the initial work was done on Sunday by a private company contracted to paint the car park in time for yesterdays season opening.

Council cannot say what caused it - our concern was to contact the company to get the errors fixed, she said.

How it happened is a matter for that company to resolve.

The area for emergency vehicles was instead written "emergancy vehicels".
