The Hidden Symbol You Missed in Beyonce's VMAs Performance

Beyonce is known as 'Queen B' for very very good reasons, and yesterday's performance at the MTV VMAs just further validated her title. 

You were probably too busy being mesmerised by Beyonce's show-stealing performance during the VMAs, to spot the powerful political message in her set.

After serving up fierce renditions of some of her biggest hit singles, the reigning queen finished with the very last track on the album - Formation.

And this is when the unmistakable feminist message became evident, as her dancers arranged themselves on the stage, forming a Venus symbol - the universal symbol for women.

Scooping up a record-setting eight awards, it's fair to say Beyonce WAS the VMAs this year.
