Usually you hear of love, trust and care being the most important parts of a relationship, so hopefully you’ve had a good lol with your partner recently, because if not - your relationship might be in trouble.
Studies from the University of Kansas by Jeffrey Hall shows that all relationships need this one thing to be successful, humour.
Not the rude and abusive humour though, a quirky humour where you both laugh together instead of laughing at each other.

Hall explained that “what is strongly related to relationship satisfaction is the humour that couples create together,”
He said sharing a sense of what is funny makes your connection with your partner stronger and that shared laughter is an important indicator of romantic attraction between partners.
“Playfulness between romantic partners is a crucial component in bonding and establishing relational security.”
It’s well-known that laughter is the best medicine, so make sure this special ingredient is in the mix of your relationship. If it’s not, maybe it’s time to find someone you can crack a joke with.
