This Auckland Student Amazes all with Incredible Voice

A student from Aorere College has blown audiences away with a performance of the Gnarls Barkley hit Crazy.

Irene Folau, the defending champion of the Stand Up Stand Out competition, performed the song last night as her semi final entry and left the audience blown away.

Folau's performance at the Otara Music and Arts Centre has stirred up a frenzy online, with with over 72,000 views on Facebook.

Presented by Auckland Council, Stand Up Stand Out is Auckland's premier secondary schools music and dance competition giving up and coming stars the opportunity to showcase their skills on stage.

Stand Up Stand Out also provides recording opportunities for original compositions performed in the heats, master class mentoring sessions and performance development opportunities through Auckland Council delivered events and festivals.

The competition final is due to be held August 26 at the Vodafone Events Centre.
