This year's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class has finally been announced and we are finally seeing Mary J. Blige and A Tribe Called Quest get their moment!

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige's debut singlehandedly kick-started the hip-hop soul genre and produced number one R&B hits “Real Love” and “You Remind Me.”

Mary J. Blige wrote hits like "Be Happy" and "My Life" as well as emotional songs like "Not Gon' Cry" showing her range of talent. Her music echoes real life experiences and is an inspiring woman, and artist who is beyond deserving of this recognition.

A Tribe Called Quest paved the way for many artists in social commentary we see through music today. Co-founding Native Tongues collective, the groups techniques have been taken on by the likes of Pharell Williams and Tyler the Creator, when taking on Afrocentric lyrics.

The group dove into a more laid-back version of hip-hop compared to the aggressive hard-hitting genre everyone was used to in that era.

A Tribe Called Quest's freedom of expression, creativity and influence on the hip-hop scene will continue to live on and inspire those to come!

See who else is being inducted to this year's Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame!
