Asahi Super Dry Nama Jokki Is Back!

The self-foaming beer sensation from Japan is back in Aotearoa, and this time, it’s here to stay.

Beer fans, this one’s for you. Asahi Super Dry Nama Jokki has landed back in New Zealand and this time it’s here to stay. Already huge in Japan, the Nama Jokki translates to “fresh beer mug” and gives you a premium tap-style pour straight from a can. Open it up and a silky foam rises instantly, locking in that crisp Asahi Super Dry taste.

Last year’s limited drop disappeared in record time with nearly 32,000 six-packs sold in under two months. Now it’s back with fresh packaging for the Kiwi market but still brewed in Japan for the same authentic flavour.

Nama Jokki is available now in selected liquor stores and will roll out to most supermarkets from October 2025. Six-packs retail between $18 and $20.
