Why this photo of Andrew Johns kissing another man might be one of his greatest moments

It appears as though there may be polarising opinions on same-sex marriage from some of the biggest sports stars in Australia and whilst the Wallabies biggest star has voiced his thoughts one of Rugby Leagues greatest ever players has an opposite opinion.

Andrew Johns has posted a throwback photo on his Instagram and some are hailing it as his greatest moment since his days running around on the grass kicking the old pigskin.

Johns and his partner in crime in this photo, Bill Peden, led the Newcastle Knights in one of its greatest periods in the clubs history, winning the NRL in 1997 and 2001.

Neither one of Johns or Peden have since changed their sexuality but in the wake of Israel Folau's tweet of objection towards same-sex marriage, in the months leading up to the great vote in Australia, this may be one of John's pivotal moments.
