Ariana Grande won her first ever Grammy last night but wasn't there to have it awarded after skipping the event after an argument with the producer of the Grammy Awards.
Ariana won the award for "Best Pop Vocal Album" for 'Sweetener', where she took out Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello.
She posted to her twitter to say thank you to her fans for their support.
i know i’m not there tonight (trust, i tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and i know i said i try not to put too much weight into these things .... but fuck ....... 🥺 this is wild and beautiful. thank you so much.

According to reports, Grande fell out with the executive producer of the Grammy Awards, Ken Ehrlich and accused him of lying about talks they had about performing at the show on Sunday.
Ariana posted to Twitter earlier on last week to vent her frustrations about the producer.
mhmmm here it is ! “too late for her to pull something together......” pic.twitter.com/YwuBOUkZjr

i’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me. i can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that i decided not to attend. i hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more. 🖤

i offered 3 different songs. it’s about collaboration. it’s about feeling supported. it’s about art and honesty. not politics. not doing favors or playing games. it’s just a game y’all.. and i’m sorry but that’s not what music is to me.
