Taika Waititi announces a Rebel for his newest film

Pitch Perfect star and Aussie comedian Rebel Wilson is set to star in a film directed by Taika Waititi.

Taika took to Twitter to announce the news, they seem to be just as excited as each other saying “s*** just got surreal”.

“Rebel Rebel Rebel Rebel Rebel Rebel! Sh*t just got surreal. @RebelWilson Rebel Wilson Joins Taika Waititi’s WWII Satire ‘Jojo Rabbit’ As Frightful Fraulein.”

The movie follows a 10-year old boy who struggles to find his place in an "increasingly Fascist regime and turns to an imaginary friend when faced with the discovery that his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their home."

According to Deadline, Rebel will play Fraulein Rahm, a brutish instructor in the Hitler Youth Camp.

Rebel joins an already A-list cast of actors including the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell. The film is set to get underway shortly in Prague.
