Shortland Street star has just cracked a major Hollywood role!

And the Shortland Street conveyor belt of superstars continues to roll out!

In an impressive lineup of Shortland Street alumni that includes heartthrob KJ Apa, Beulah Koale, Frankie Adams and Karl Urban, young Duane Evans Jr, who plays the son of our very own Pua Magasiva (Vinnie), has joined James Cameron's Avatar family, playing alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Sam Worthington, Cliff Curtis and Sigourney Weaver.

20th Century Fox revealed today the 10-year-old Shortland Street star will play Rotxo, a young member of the oceanic Metkayina clan. 

Duane, who plays Michael Hampton Rees, will play children of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), as well as the children of the Metkayina, led by Tonowari (Cliff Curtis).
