Heartbreaking news as Home and Away legend reveals their battle with cancer

Some might find this tough BUT one of the former 'Home and Away' favourites, Cornelia Frances has been diagnosed with cancer. The 76-year-old found out after she went for a visit to the doctors for a general check-up.

The legendary tv actor revealed, "I swear I have had a hex placed on me for the past 12 months. I discovered I had bladder cancer. This then spread to my hipbone which fractured, and then I almost died from loss of blood due to an ulcer in my throat. Despite all this, I am still here, as the old song goes."
