Billy Slater calls out Shaun Johnson and other league stars live on Australian TV

Rugby league great Billy Slater has called out former Vodafone Warriors and current Cronulla Sharks player Shaun Johnson, saying that he was letting the team down with his performance.

Slater appeared on Channel Nine's 100% Footy and said that some of the of the younger players were outshining the older, more experienced ones.

"All these young guys have been competing really hard and have been doing a great job.

“And then Shaun Johnson, Wade Graham...Matt Moylan - these efforts from the representative players that are coming back into the team, they’re letting the team down." Slater said.

“When you’ve got your senior players coming back into your side, and the team is going well, and they’re not performing with the same intensity and urgency as the younger guys, that’s letting the team down.” he continued.
