George “Fiji” Veikoso Passes Away, Charlie Pays Tribute On-Air 💔

The Pacific has lost one of its greatest voices. George “Fiji” Veikoso, the legendary Fijian-Hawaiian artist known for his soulful blend of reggae, RnB, and island sounds, passed away in Suva, Fiji, aged 55.

A true icon, Fiji’s music shaped generations across the Pacific. From hits like Sweet Darlin’ to writing the Baywatch Hawaii theme, his voice became the soundtrack of island life.

Charlie who was a close friend of Fiji, made an emotional tribute live on air.

"I'm so grateful for the way your music made me feel. You gave me more than music. You gave us hope, truth and something real to hold on to"
