Raised in the Assembly of God church her whole life, performing and singing amongst mass crowds has become second nature to Katerina better known by her artist name, Tree, who has just released her brand new single Can We.
Attending Auckland Girl’s Grammar in her youthful years, Tree was part of one of the very first ‘All female’ bands (Vivah) which also featured, R&B singer/songwriter Ria and took part in the national Smokefree Pacifica Beats competition going on to take first place in 2007.
As the years went on, the South-Auckland raised singer branched off taking on a solo career as well as being a backing vocalists for many, with her biggest break to date being a feature artist on one of the greatest ever reggae songs to come out of NZ, ‘Don’t say Goodbye’ by Sammy J which now sits at 16 million+ views on Youtube.
With the amount of music being released in this day and age it’s hard to keep up to date with music as well as finding good quality music. One thing I can say is, be prepared to be blown away by the vocal ability of Tree - you’ve never heard anything like it. That’s a promise.
