It seems there has been a rather big mix up with people thinking that Māori come from Australia. I know we're a little ol' country over here on our side of the world but New Zealand and Australia are very different.
A Zoo in the US has sparked outrage after using Māori dancers to open an Australian exhibit. Facebook fans are not happy.
Maybe a little more research next time!
