The suspense is killing you! You and Bae have been romantic now and you're thinking, he's going to ask you to marry him, you can almost see the end of the aisle, you can hear the wedding bells! and just like a bubble popping, your dreams go up into the air, because you've realised you've only been a relationship for 17 days...

You've suddenly realised you've not what the actual average wait time someone gets proposed to is. Well you may want to pitch a tent and grab some blankets because you may be camping out for a wee while to hear the magic question (and no the question is not do you want takeaway tonight)

Bridebook.co.uk has done some research, asking 4000 married couples how long they were in a relationship before getting married, and the average is probably higher than you might expect!

They found that most couples are waiting 4.9 years before getting married.

In fact, time frames for getting engaged is not enough, no, the research get's in even more depth as it explained that people normally "dated for 1.4 years (17 months) before moving in together. Then lived together for 1.83 years (22 months) before getting engaged. Then were engaged for 1.67 years (20 months) before getting married. The total average time living together before marriage totals to a whole 3.5 years."

Sooooo....guess asking that girl to marry after that first tinder date seems a little silly now doesn't it.
