It's mid-winter and you've had a long day ... plus now it's raining!

You've just got home and the best way for you to warm up is by having a nice, long, hot shower because you deserve it!

But did you know how much damage you're doing to your skin?

Yep! We can't even have a long shower without it being bad for us.

According to skin specialists, that steaming hot shower can actually cause skin inflammation, redness, itchiness and peeling, plus it puts your natural balance of moisture all out of whack.

Oh and it gets worse!

If you have eczema or psoriasis a long shower can amplify things.

The ideal length for a good healthy shower is roughly 5 minutes and the temperature shouldn't stray above 43 degrees celsius, but hey rules are meant to be broken from time to time ... right?!
