Kiwi golden Voice ends up winning big after The Voice Australia

The young Kiwi singer who took The Voice Australia by storm is now set to tour with one of the biggest music groups in the world.

Kiwi Hoseah Partsch made it into the final two spots on the reality talent show on which he was mentored by Boy George. And while he may not have gotten the top prize, he did score a tour with Culture Club.

However, speaking on the Today Show, the 18 year old insists he's still just a "normal kid", saying he will continue his year 12 studies while on the road.

"People say I'm popular at school, but honestly I'm a normal Islander kid that just wants to pass school, I guess."

"It is so surreal. Honestly I'm so thankful for this opportunity that Boy [George] has given me and I can't wait to see him again ... I've never met Culture Club before but I can't wait."

He added: "I'm like low-key nervous, but I'm just going to pray to God He'll give me the strength just to do what I love to do, which is to sing. I hope Australia is ready."

Partsch just missed out on the $100,000 prize this year but his mentor and friend Boy George speaks highly of the young star.

"He's not only a wonderfully talented artist, he's a fabulous guy with a big heart and I'm backing him," he told the Daily Telegraph.

"I'm delighted to welcome him to the Culture Club tour."
