Huawei have just won the hearts of New Zealanders and Maori all over after announcing that their latest P-series smartphone will offer te reo Maori as a standard language option.
Their latest devices, the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus offer 32,000 te reo words and phrases, which will be ground-breaking technology for the development of te reo Maori. Huawei had assistance from the Maori department from AUT, Te ara Poutama, with plans to roll out future te reo features, including looking at future voice predictive text.
