It's no secret that the mega-company Apple have been some serious hot water this last week after a reddit user outed them for deliberately slowing down older models.

Two Apple consumers have even announced plans to sue the company over these dodgy dealings.

It may seem quite obvious, but there is a way to prevent this from happening to your beloved handset.

This will void the warranty of your phone, but if they've already slowed it down then it's obviously quite an old phone.

All you have to do is replace the battery with a brand new one.

This should only set you back about $100, and your phone will work like new.

Or you could just buy a phone that doesn't automatically decay when Apple want you to buy another.
