He's the man who has saved the world more times than we can count on two hands, died enough times that he has a postal address on the "other side" whilst also holding the record for most revives from the Dragonballs. It is, therefore, fitting that Goku has been announced as an ambassador for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The Saiyan beat his fellow anime favourite Pikachu to the spot, but he will be sharing exposure with Sailor Moon, Naruto, One Piece main character Luffy and more in ambassador roles for the Olympics. In an attempt to draw a younger audience to the Olympics, the brand has gone for a more youthful approach for their ambassadors.
