Want an action film with a hint of Kiwi comedy? Pork Pie is definitely for you.
The first official trailer for the "re-imagining" of the Kiwi cult classic Goodbye Pork Pie has just released and it looks like a hell of a lot of fun.
The new Blondini gang is made up of Dean O'Gorman (The Hobbit, Trumbo, The Almighty Johnsons) James Rolleston (Boy, The Dark Horse) and Ashleigh Cummings (Puberty Blues, Tomorrow When the War Began).
They can be seen here tearing up the New Zealand landscape in an iconic Pork Piemini, in what looks like Hunt For the Wilderpeople crossed with the Fast and the Furious.
Rolleston - who plays Luke Anahera - is still recovering from recent injuries, but that's not dampening his excitement over this film and its potential.
"I had the most fun of my career making this film, It was great to be involved in a real Kiwi comedy with Dean ... and I reckon Kiwis are going to love it." He says.
