Free burger giveaway causes madness at McDonalds!

McDonald's Restaurants across the ditch have gone crazy after McDonald's Australia gave away free burgers.

One user took to social media to show the madness going down in a Maccas joint in Central Sydney. Luke Hopewell posted to Twitter, reminding people to be nice to McDonald's staff. "Be nice to your local Maccas team member as people go to score free Quarter Pounders today. Absolute scenes in Sydney."

The promotion was to celebrate International Burger Day yesterday. McDonald's gave away 250,000 Quarter Pounds to celebrate. Rival KFC also came to the party, announcing that they would run a 'buy one get one free' offer.

Sadly, the offer wasn't extended to Aotearoa and only Aussie punters could get their free Quarter Pounders yesterday.
