He's been painted as the villain following Saturday's red card against the Lions but Sonny Bill Williams has found a way to make fans smile.

The second five-eighth became the third All Black in history to be sent off following a dangerous tackle in the 25th minute of the side's 24-21 defeat in Wellington.

The All Blacks and Blues star was handed a four-week ban which means he'll miss the third test and the final game of the Super Rugby regular season.

Williams tweeted yesterday a video of moment with his eldest daughter Imaan to show he's trying to move past Saturday's incident.

After being handed a four-week ban, Williams said he was disappointed at his actions and that he felt he let the All Blacks down.

"Obviously I'm really disappointed but happy to be able to get in there and say my piece," Williams said afterwards. "They've come to the conclusion that it was reckless, that it wasn't intentional. I've got in contact with Anthony and I've apologised to him but I'm very disappointed that I was sent from the field last night and that I let my brothers down."
