So it turns out the beef between Vin Diesel and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was mostly a publicity stunt, an insider has revealed that there was some truth to the rivalry but it has mainly been to amp up drama for a WWE wrestling match and to help promote the release of Fast 8 in April 2017.

“They are playing a huge prank, and it’s all for publicity, The Rock convinced Vin to amp up the drama between them so they could turn it into a WWE match to help promote the April 2017 release of Fast 8,” the insider revealed.'
