Taika Waititi doesn't muck around! After the success of Thor: Ragnarok - he's just landed a pilot for a US TV show.

Waititi and Jemaine Clement have teamed up to film a spin-off of the series 'What We DO in the Shadows', their cult 2014 mockumentary. The series will be written by Clement and directed by Waititi. If it's anything like the last one it's gonna be a goodie!!

It would also feature all-new actors including Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou and Harvey Guillen.

Clement and Waititi are already working on a spinoff from the movie, called Paranormal Unit, a six-part series set to air on TVNZ mid-year. That series received $1,402,273 in NZ on Air funding and will focus on the two paranormal police officers who starred in the original movie.

Apparently filming in Wellington has already finished.

BUT this isn't all for the talented duo, Waititi is working on Bubbles, a Netflix movie about Michael Jackson's pet chimp (this should be interesting). "A baby chimp is adopted by the pop star Michael Jackson. Narrating his own story, Bubbles the Chimp details his life within The King of Pop’s inner circle through the scandals that later rocked Jackson’s life and eventually led to Bubbles’ release," the film's synopsis stated.

At the same time, Clement has a one-hour Flight of the Conchords special airing on HBO later this year and is touring with his folk-comedy partner Bret McKenzie.

By crikey these two are talented and we cannot wait to see the final pieces!
