Kiwi Star Parris Goebel up for MTV Video Music Award!

Parris Goebel could be adding an MTV Music Video Award to her list of achievements.

The Kiwi choreographer's music video for Justin Bieber's Sorry has been nominated for the MTV VMA's top prize, Video of the year.

Goebel celebrated the nomination on Instagram, thanking her dancers who helped "bring it to life".

"This is just crazy. My work has been nominated in 3 VMA categories. This is such a beautiful reminder to myself that anything is possible," she wrote alongside a photo showing the 2016 VMA nominees.

"Don't give up on your dreams," she added, "If this Polynesian high school drop out from Auckland NZ can do it ... you can do it too."

The music video for Sorry was released in October last year and went viral after fans fell in love with Goebel's dance moves.

Goebel's all-female dance crew, ReQuest, feature in the video.

Sorry has also landed Bieber and Goebel a nomination for Best pop video.

Bieber's PURPOSE: The Movement earned a nomination for Breakthrough long form video. It was choreographed entirely by Goebel and features a sequence of dance videos to accompany all of the tracks on Bieber's latest album, Purpose.

Goebel, was first contacted by Bieber's manager Scooter Braun to create the Sorrymusic video, which she choreographed and directed in just two days.

She was later brought on for PURPOSE: The Movement after the worldwide success of the video.
