This is what nightmares are made of! Our hearts are heavy as we watch the updates and see the extent of the damage from cyclone Gita.
Overnight cyclone Gita hit Tonga and sources say more than 40% of houses have lost their roofs.
Celebrities from all over the world are showing their love for the small nation. Moments ago Dinah Jane posted to Instagram as have many other celebrities.
"Pray for Tonga, My heart goes out to the kingdom, ofa lahi atu kia koe".
Our thoughts are with the people of Tonga this morning, who are being confronted by devastating damage caused by Cyclone Gita. As always, New Zealand will be here to help. Kia kaha.
