There's no denying the hype that Tonga brought to New Zealand during the 2017 Rugby League World Cup!

For all the MMT fans out there your favourite team could be back sooner than expected! NZRL are not interested in the Kiwis playing Tonga but the World Champions could face off against MMT and even better in Auckland.

Talks are continuing for Tonga to play Australia in an end of year test in Hawaii, but there's talk that Mt Smart may be a better location and we are not complaining - did you see Mount Smart stadium in the semi??? It was a sea of red!

If Auckland secures the game the clash will see former kiwis turned Tongan World Cup heroes Jason Taumalolo, David Fusitu'a, Manu Ma'u and Sio Siua Taukeiaho suit up against Kangaroo stars Cameron Smith, Greg Inglis and Boyd Cordner.

All the details are floating around but New Zealand is definitely on the cards to host this historic match!

A test between Tonga the Australian team in New Zealand would be a guaranteed sell-out considering the crowds MMT brought during the World Cup matches in Hamilton and Auckland.

The Kiwis denying a rematch against the side that beat them in the World Cup is sparking many rumours as you can imagine!

Certainly isn't looking good for us!
