Being Insta famous is high on the wish list of a lot of teens these days, but apparently the fame isn't always good.

Selena Gomez hit the top spot last year when she hit 100 million followers, which was still 10 million higher than T Swift - who was in second place.

She recently spoke to Vogue and explained why the situation was less than ideal:

"As soon as I became the most followed person on Instagram, I sort of freaked out. It had become so consuming to me. It's what I woke up to and went to sleep to. I was an addict, and it felt like I was seeing things I didn't want to see, like it was putting things in my head that I didn't want to care abou. I always end up feeling like s--t when I look at Instagram."

She has apparently deleted the app from her phone, and doesn't even know her login anymore, her management takes care of it.

So it turns out that you can be too famous...
