There's dumb and then there's brain-dead-stupid dumb, and we think we may have found ourselves a winner today!

Auckland-based man Jordan Chapman recorded a video of a small family travelling on the motorway on a convertible, top down, with their young child standing unrestrained. Chapman, who was a passenger filming while this happened, tried to signal to the mother of the child that their actions we're not safe, but it seemed to fall on deaf ears.

Uhm okay, let's take a moment to analyse what we've just seen. First off, road safety 101, that child needs a seat, and that child also needs to be restrained!!!! Secondly, your child, standing, while you're travelling faster than at least 50km/h, not safe!! Finally, top down!!!! Hey whanau, let's be smarter on the roads this summer.
