John Legend speaks out about the time he was racially abused by paparazzi

"If we evolved from monkeys, why is John Legend still around?" 

This was the horrendously racist question asked by a paparazzi that sparked a Twitter rant from Legend's wife, Chrissy Teigen.

After this rant, John spoke to Variety about the attack, "We were right next to each other and we looked at each other like 'did he really just say that?"

"I’m not hurt by someone saying that to me because I’m smarter, I’m stronger. I look down on that person that would say something like that. But it’s a shame that it still exists."

It's obvious that he is above someone that would say that to him, and as he said, it is unbelievable that people would think of another person like that.
